Our main trails including Peatland Biodiversity boardwalk and the road train are wheelchair accessible and there’s plenty of areas to stop and sit around the park for those that need it. There are areas of the mini golf and indoor play which may not be fully accessible.
Our Social Story is designed to help those with sensory needs prepare for visits and we limit noise levels in Cafe. If the Cafe is busy there is a large sheltered outdoor picnic area adjacent to Cafe building which tends to be much quieter. It is relatively easy to find quieter places as the Park is set on 60 acres and is immersed in nature. We have disabled toilets available and access to the Purple Heather Café is wheelchair accessible as well as marked disabled carparking close to Cafe. Please see Map of the Park here. If you wish to enquire further about specific needs including dietary, visual, audio, mobility, sensory please enquire directly via our contact page.
Time around the park varies depending on age, interests and which of the areas of the park you wish to visit, however on average a family visit including all areas of play will take around 3-4 hours. Those wishing to complete walks, visit exhibitions and have lunch may enjoy the experience for around 2-3 hours.
Based in West Kildare, we are approximately one hour’s drive from Dublin. Visitors should access us via the villages of Rathangan (12-minute drive) or Allenwood (8-minute drive), staying on the R414. Eircode R51 E036.

Yes! School trips are a huge part of what we do and how the park has grown over the years. With so much to learn and discover, you can find out more at our dedicated school trip page and book directly via phone or email.
Peatlands are at the heart of what we do. Our goal is to not only educate, but to support all efforts to successfully rewild the industrial bare peat areas across the Bog of Allen in coming years. This will help store huge amounts of carbon, greatly assist in reversing biodiversity loss and also give habitat space to many endangered species such as the Curlew. This is very possible to achieve if we all unify our efforts! Our 2km Boardwalk is made of recycled plastic and even our educational signage is powered through your own kinetic energy!
We are working steadily to improve our carbon footprint to align with Net Zero 2050 and making great efforts to increase our biodiversity across the park, creating habitats for a wide variety of species.
We also hope to improve renewable energy sources for the day to day running of the Park and maximise composting, recycling, and transport access to support sustainable tourism in our area.
Our carpark is free to use for all paying visitors and holds over 100 cars and 10 coach bays. We have disabled parking spaces and hope to bring in EV charging points over the next year or so.

What a fantastic show Lullymore put on every year. Really enjoyed it as did my 11 and 14 year old. Cafe is lovely and the outside seating area comes with 2 inquisitive geese! The best thing about Lullymore more is the staff.

This is a superb location with a wide range of fun and informative aspects - learn about bogs and peat, ancient Irish heritage, Irish Christian heritage, the 1798 Rebellion, the Famine and much, much more.

We were greeted by Ray for our short visit to this attraction. The site tells an important part of Irish history and includes practical demonstrations of peat cutting and the history of the industry.
