Peatlands are at the heart of what we do. Our goal is to not only educate, but to support all efforts to successfully rewild the industrial bare peat areas across the Bog of Allen in coming years. This will help store huge amounts of carbon, greatly assist in reversing biodiversity loss and also give habitat space to many endangered species such as the Curlew. This is very possible to achieve if we all unify our efforts! Our 2km Boardwalk is made of recycled plastic and even our educational signage is powered through your own kinetic energy!

We are working steadily to improve our carbon footprint to align with Net Zero 2050 and making great efforts to increase our biodiversity across the park, creating habitats for a wide variety of species.

We also hope to improve renewable energy sources for the day to day running of the Park and maximise composting, recycling, and transport access to support sustainable tourism in our area.
