The Purple Heather Café

The new Purple Heather Café in Lullymore Heritage & Discovery Park is the place to go to unwind with quality coffee and light lunches or to feed the hungry little ones with a variety of junior meals and tasty treats.

A selection of freshly made delicious lunches and snacks with locally sourced ingredients are available throughout the day.

What better way to relax than with a great coffee or tea of your choice and a hot scone served with cream and jam just out of the oven!

The Purple Heather Café is named after a poem written over 100 years ago by the local poet William A. Byrne. The landscape which inspired him is now returning to its true beauty after decades of industry and peat extraction. The “purple cloak” he refers to in the poem is best seen around the Park from late July to October every year.

We are open from 10 am every day that the park is open and last orders for hot food is at 4.30 pm.

WIFI available in Cafe – please ask staff for the password to access.

A NEW SHELTERED PICNIC AREA (seating for 150) BESIDE CAFE CAN BE USED FOR OUTDOOR DINING & PICNIC FOOD.
