The 1798 John Doorly House

Lullymore Heritage & Discovery Parks 1798 John Doorly House was built for the bi-centenary of the Rebellion in 1998. The rebellion, led by Wolfe Tone, was a pivotal time in Irish history, and indeed world history following the American and French Revolutions whose successes inspired the Irish into action. Furthermore, it was a rebellion which Lullymore would play a part in.

Featuring a special holographic exhibit on the life of Captain John Doorly – you can learn all about his life and times – a captain in the United Irishmen and a native of Lullymore, whose life story became intertwined with the rebellion of 1798.
